Capacity building activities, targeted to leaders of Filipino migrants and Home Town Associations (HTAs) aimed to empower them to support interventions that would maximize the potential of migration and sustainable community development in the Philippines.

Special attention on the gender dimension of Filipino migration has been provided, given the fact that majority of Filipinos in Italy are women employed as domestic workers, caregivers and baby-sitters.

Training and awareness raising activities have been provided to community leaders with focus on:

- Financial literacy
- Organizing and leadership
- Networking
- Project formulation and management
- Social cost of migration
- Migrants rights and duties
- Reproductive health
